As many people know that Hyperkin SupaBoy S is almost like the Nintendo Switch version of the SNES. The cool thing about the Hyperkin SupaBoy S is the fact that people can play any SNES game from the 90’s on it. But when it comes down to popularity the Hyperkin SupaBoy S is not really on the same level as the PS Vita which definitely has better graphics and gameplay as far as 3D titles are concerned. But when it comes down to PlayStation Vita titles there aren’t too many that can be compared those of the SNES as far as popularity is concerned. While the PS Vita has better quality as far as graphics are concerned the replay value of many of the Vita games are not quite as high as the classics for the SNES such as Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Mega Man X and many others.
However, the Hyperkin SupaBoy S not sold nearly as many units worldwide as PS Vita especially considering the fact that its basically a hybrid version of the SNES. In terms of which console is better between the PS Vita and the Hyperkin SupaBoy S really depends on how each game system is looked at. If we are talking about sales and quality the PS Vita would probably be considered a better game console. But if we are talking about actual games for each console then the Hyperkin SupaBoy S would might have the slight advantage over the PS Vita depending on who you ask.
When it comes down to RPG titles of 00’s Kingdom Hearts II was probably one of the most popular games of the decade. Kingdom Hearts II was released for both the PlayStation 2 and the PlayStation 3 between 2005-2006 and was the third game in the series following the release of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories which came out in the Fall of 2004. Ever since the original version of Kingdom Hearts II was released for the PlayStation 2 the game had managed to sell over 4 million units worldwide on that console alone while reaching over one million on the PlayStation 3.
In terms of whether or not Kingdom Hearts II would have worked on the Nintendo GameCube is debatable. After all, the relationship between Square Enix and Nintendo was still a bit rocky following the fallout the two entities had back in the 90’s involving the N64. As far as graphics and gameplay are concerned many argue that Kingdom Hearts II could have definitely worked on the Nintendo Gamecube. However, its questionable on whether or not a GameCube port of Kingdom Hearts II could have sold as much as the PS2 version of the game considering how popular the console was throughout the entire decade. If anything Kingdom Hearts II being released exclusively for PlayStation consoles is what helped the game out in terms of sales.
Back in the Spring of 2015 the original Bloodborne game was released exclusively for the PS4. When it comes down to various aspects of the game including the inclusion of a good story, graphics and in game mechanics it they were all qualities that many people found appealing. Since its release back in March 2015 Bloodborne had managed to sell over 2 million units worldwide and is arguably considered to be in the top ten as far as best action titles are concerned.
Even though, Blodborne was very popular back in 2015 it was made exclusively for the PS4 . There are some people wonder whether or not Bloodborne could work for the Nintendo Switch if FromSoftware had any plans to bring the game to the hybrid console. After all, we did get to see other great games such as Skyrim and even Doom on the Nintendo Switch and the quality of each game on the hybrid console had exceeded the expectations of many people. Since the Nintendo Switch is arguably at the peak of its popularity bring a game such as Bloodborne to the hybrid console would definitely turn heads in the gaming world
When we think about racing games of 2017 one of the many games that stand out is Gran Turismo Sport which many people have been waiting to since Gran Turismo 6 which was released in 2013. In terms of sales Gran Turismo Sport reported has managed to reach over 982,000 units within its first week. Even though, Gran Turismo is a good racing game and has done great in sales there are still who are die hard fans of Forza Motorsport 7 and Project Cars 2 and feel one of those games should hold the title for being the best racing game of the year.
In terms of quality some can make the argument that Forza Motorsport 7 is just as good a Gran Turismo Sport. However, Gran Turismo Sport was probably the most anticipated racing game of the past few years. When it comes down to certain aspects of the Gran Tursimo Sport such as the total car count there are some people who are bewildered by the fact that game has less than 200 cars. Not only has Polyphony Digital reduced the total car count from it predecessor Gran Turimso 6 which included over 1100 vehicles but it seems like Project Cars 2 and Forza Motorsport 7 has more cars than their respective predecessors. Despite, the lack of cars included in Gran Turismo Sport in comparison to other games the sales for the game were impressive and has already managed to reach over one million units worldwide since its release in October 2017.
Sometimes its almost hard to believe that Sonic and the Secret Rings was released ten years ago on the Nintendo Wii. When it comes down to 3D Sonic titles of the 00’s Sonic and the Secret Rings was probably one of the best. Some people would probably put Sonic and the Secret Rings behind Sonic Adventure 2 & Sonic Colors as far as best 3D titles in the series are concerned. Even since Sonic and the Secret Rings was released back in Spring 2007 the game has managed to sell over 2 million copies worldwide on the Nintendo Wii.
As popular as the game was Sonic and the Secret Rings was never ported for the Nintendo Wii-U in the early 10’s. Since we never got Sonic and the Secret Rings on the Wii-U there are some would like to see this 3D platform title on the Nintendo Switch. However, Sonic and the Secret Rings is not as popular as it was when it was first released in the late 00’s. Plus, we have games like Sonic Mania which many people like more than a majority of 3D titles in the Sonic series.
When it comes down to the Persona series it has managed to become popular in the RPG genre of gaming mainly on PlayStation based console. When Persona 5 was released for the PS4 the game had managed to sell over one million units worldwide and is considered to be one of the best RPG titles of the 10’s decade. The fact that Person 5 was featured on the PS3 and the PS4 may have been one of the many factors that contributed to the popularity of the game itself. If Persona 5 was released for multiple game consoles including the Xbox One or the Wii-U the game may have sold less than it did on the PS4.
However, having Persona 5 on the Nintendo Switch would be different considering how popular that console is right now along with the fact that it managed to sell over 10 million units worldwide in less than a year. Having Person 5 ported for the Nintendo Switch would sound great in theory especially since the console does not have too many RPG’s like it. However, Atlus doesn’t really have any plans on bring Person 5 to the hybrid console in near future.
X-Men was very popular in relation to gaming back in the early 90/s. While we did get a couple of X-Men titles for the Sega Genesis one of the more memorable titles that we saw in the series was X-Men Mutant Apocalypse which was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System back in the fall of 1994. While games like X-Men Mutant Apocalypse was popular during the 16 bit era of gaming shortly afterwards we saw titles such as X-Men Children of the Atom on the PS1 which is arguably one of the best fighting titles of the 90’s due to how innovative the gameplay was during its time. When it came down to 2D fighting titles the Sony PlayStation arguably had the best fighting titles in terms of quality.
However, there are many people who wonder what an X-Men title one the Nintendo 64 would have been like. One of the reasons why the Super Nintendo Entertainment System was very popular was because there were so many exciting video game series like Street Fighter and X-Men that was included on that console and ever since the mid 90’s when the 32 bit PS1 was released we have seen more 2D games on that console opposed to the Nintendo 64. The Nintendo 64 was much better at running 3D games opposed to 2D. Also , the 2D X-Men games were actually much better and since the PS1 was slightly more popular than the N64 we were probably better off having games on the Sony PlayStation.
