Sindel joins the Mortal Kombat 11 roster?

As far as Mortal Kombat 11 is concerned it looks like we might possible seeing a long time character within the series make their return in this game. For those who do not know Sindel is the mother of Kitana and the husband of Shao Khan and was also known as the Queen of Outworld was last seen as a playable character in Mortal Kombat 9 which was released back in 2011. Not too long ago MK creator Ed Boon had tweeted out a teaser trailer for Sindel’s new look and its something that has many people talking. As far as additional characters to the MK 11 roster is concerned we recently got to see Shang Tsung included in the game.

Ever since, Shang Tsung’s inclusion in Mortal Kombat 11 characters such as Spawn and Nightwolf have also been teased with many hoping that they eventually do appear in the game as DLC. While many people had hoped see Milenna teased or featured as DLC for Mortal Kombat 11 it looks like something that is unlikely to happen at the moment. Despite, not being quite as popular in the series as Milenna especially following the story for Mortal Kombat IX it would nice to see her as a playable character in MK 11.

Digimon Survive release pushed back to 2020!!!

As far as surprising news is concerned many people were shocked to learn on July 6th that Bandi Namco the publisher for Digimon Survive set to appear on multiple consoles later this year has pushed back the release date back to 2020. As it currently see still have no idea what the exact release date for Digimon Survive will be. We do know that Digimon Survive has been confirmed to appear on multiple game systems including the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. For those who do not know Digimon Survive will be a strategy role-playing title that will include over 100 different creatures. It has been verified by Bandi Namco that Digimon Survive will indeed have a single-player Story Mode.

Also, the story mode for Digimon Survive is considered to be non-linear since the game will have multiple endings depending on the choices that characters make as they progress. There is no question that Digimon Survive will definitely be one of the most highly anticipated RPG titles of 2020 along with the likes of Cyberpunk 2077, Wasteland 3, Final Fantasy VII: Remake and DBZ: Kakorat. Hopefully, we will learn more about Digimon Survive has we get close to the end of 2019.

Retro Gaming 00’s- Fallout 3: (2008)

As far as action role playing games from the late 00’s are concerned one of the most popular video games that the world got to see was Bethesda’s Fallout 3 released in Fall 2008. For those who do not know the Fallout series originated back in 1997 and the second game in the series known as Fallout 2 was released a decade before Fallout 3 which appeared on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360. As far as gameplay and visuals are concerned Bethesda had completely reinvented the Fallout series especially considering the fact that the third major installment was the first 3D game within the entire series. The Fallout game from 1998 had 2D isometric graphics and almost felt like a completely different game than what we got from Fallout 3 all the way up to Fallout 76. As far as the story for Fallout 3 is concerned it was one that was compelling due to the fact that it was set in a post-apocalyptic setting in the early part of the 23rd century. In Fallout 3 players had the opportunity to travel around the ruins of cities such as Maryland and North Virginia and the ability to develop their character’s attributes for survival.

Throughout, the game players learn more about the main protagonist known as the “Lone Wanderer” following his upbringing in Vault 101. Along with learning more about the history of the “Lone Wanderer’s” father concerning”Project Purify and Enclaves plans to impede his project the storyline takes many interesting twists and turns which can ultimately leaded to multiple endings depending on the decisions player make throughout the game. Since its release in ’08 Fallout 3 has been seen as one of the most popular action role-playing games of the 00’s and was arguably the best installment within the entire series. Not only did Fallout 3 receive numerous “Game Of The Year” awards from various gaming entities between ’08-’09 it also managed to sell over 12 million copies since its release. In fact, Fallout 3 was one of the best titles to be showcased E3 2007 and ended up becoming one of the most anticipated video games of 2008. As far as the action role-playing genre of gaming is concerned Fallout 3 is considered to be a classic that many gamers still have fond memories about to this day.

Retro Gaming 10’s- Darksiders II: (2010)

When it comes down to memorable action role-playing games of the 10’s decade one of the few games that instantly comes to mind is Darksiders II. For those who do not know Darksiders II was a title that was developed by Vigil Games and published by THQ and was initially released back in 2012. The original version of Darksiders II appeared on last generation consoles such as the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii-U while also appearing in Microsoft Windows. Darksiders II was the direct sequel to the first game which was released back 2010 the year the series first began. Similar to the first Darksiders game players got to control one of the Four Horseman Of The Apocalypse . However, in Darksiders II people got play as Death with the story revolving around trying to maintain War’s innocence with the crimes that he has been convicted of while trying to resurrect mankind. The interesting thing about War’s role in Darksiders II is the fact that he was the main character for the 2010 prequel and his alignment was neutral as he was meant to create balance between Heaven & Hell. The story for Darksiders II takes a couple of interesting twists as players learn details regarding Corruption’s role in cause turmoil in various roles while blocking off The Tree Of Life to restore mankind.

Darksiders II was considered to be one of the most popular action role playing/ hack n slash games of 2012 and eventually received high definition ports to PlayStation 4, Xbox One Microsoft Windows back in 2015. The gameplay for Darksiders II was a very solid and gave players the option of participating in various side quests and optional boss battles alongside main story. The inclusion of a Skill Tree along with various melee weapon that players had to master were also impressive to see in addition to the resource meters provided during gameplay. As far as the Darksiders trilogy is concerned many would argue that II was a better game than Darksiders III which came out in November 2018. However, its difficult for some people to determine if Darksiders II was better game than its predecessor. Although, it can be argued that the main storyline Darksiders II was more compelling than the original game from 2010.

Nintendo Switch Online now has over 10 million subscribers!!!!

As far as big news is concerned in relation to the gaming world it has just been discovered that the Nintendo Switch’s online service has been doing much better than people could have expected. For those who do not know the online subscription service for the Nintendo Switch began back in September 2018 and has already reached over ten million subscribers despite only being active for less than a year now. As it currently stands players would receive a great deal if they decided to purchase a 12 month membership for Nintendo Switch Online since its only priced for $19.99 plus tax at electronic retailers such as Best Buy. For consoles such as The PlayStation 4 people would have to purchase a 12 month membership for $59.99 and its that has seeming remained constant since late 2013-early 2014 when the game system was first released.

In fact, the family subscription is more affordable than Sony’s 12 month plan which is priced at $59.99. For players who decide to purchase the 12 month family plan its only $34.99. The option get the 1 or 3 month plan for the Nintendo Switch Online ranges between $1.99-$3.99 which are both great deals. In the eyes of some people it’s not to hard to see why the Nintendo Switch has over 10 million subscribers in less than a year. There no question that the number of active subscribers will only increase and possibly double by September 2020.

Retro Gaming 10’s- Metro Last Light: (2013)

As far as first person shooters of the 10’s decade are concerned one of the most popular titles that we have seen includes Metro: Last Light which was published by Deep Silver and developed 4A Games. Metro: Last Light was released back in 2013 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows and was the direct sequel Metro 2033 which came out back in 2010. What made Metro: Last Light unique was the fact that it was a first-person shooter title that included both survival horror and stealth-like gameplay. The post-apocalyptic setting along with the storyline following the events of Metro 2033 was compelling. The main protagonist Artyom was charged with the task of locating a child who was a part of a species that he previously launched a missile strike against prior to Metro: Last Light. Also, the inclusion of multiple endings in Metro: Last Light added to its replay value since it was determined by the accumulation of good or bad karma that players would generate throughout the game.

Since its initial release back in 2013 the “Redux” Metro: Last Light was re-released in 2014 for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. Metro: Last Light Redux was considered to be a success especially considering the fact that it eventually reached at least 1.5 million copies in sales. Despite, the complaints regarding the immense difficulty relating to artificial intelligence in Metro: Last Light mainly with boss battles it was and still is considered be a critically acclaimed first-person shooter that still holds up in 2019. In fact, the direct sequel to Metro: Last Light known as Metro Exodus was released back in February 2019 and is considered to be one of the hottest first person shooter titles of the year.

Retro Gaming 10’s- TERA: (2011)

As far as the 10’s decade concerned we have seen so many big titles within the MNORPG genre released such as Guild Wars 2, Neverwinter, Final Fantasy XIV and Star Wars: The Old Republic which many people seem to enjoy. In fact, some of the games just mentioned were released between 2010-2014 which was a time period where MMORPG’s were arguably more popular due those years opposed to right now. On of the more memorable MMORPG’s from the early 10’s was the TERA game that was released for PC back in January 2011. TERA was developed by Bluehole Studio and had multiple publishers such as En Masse Entertainment, Gameforge and NHN Corporation depending on which country it was released in. TERA was initially released in South Korea in early 2011 for Microsoft Windows before it appeared in countries such as America and Europe during the Spring of 2012.

TERA is a MMORPG game that utilized the Unreal Engine 3 and remained an attraction throughout a majority of the 10’s decade. Ever since, its initial release in ’11 TERA had approximately over 26 million players on Microsoft Windows and is still considered to be one of the most popular MMORPG’s in this current day and age. With features such as PvP and real -time battle action TERA provides players an exciting online experience which ultimately contributes to the overall replay value of the game itself. The race/class system in TERA is also very interesting especially since they determine what type of skills that players have or can eventually gain as they progress throughout the game. While TERA is considered to be somewhat old because it was released eight years ago its still a MMORPG that still holds up in 2019.
