As many of us know Gran Turismo Sport will be available in gaming and electronic stores in many countries on October 19th. While many long time fans of the Gran Turismo series are excited for the long awaited release of GT Sport there are some who questioned the decision that Sony Interactive Entertainment Taiwan had made in terms of releasing the bundle for an outrageous price.
The GT Sport bundle had included a PS4, PSVR headset along with an actual 2018 Mazda MX-5 along with other accessories which was priced at $46,000. Even though, the Gran Turismo Sport bundle was out for a limited time along having only one available the price seemed ridiculous unless one was actually looking for a brand new 2018 car for a decent price.
As many people know we have another crossover tag battle game to look forward to besides Dragon Ball FighterZ entitled BlazeBlue Cross Tag Battle in 2018. BlazeBlue Cross Tag Battle will be developed by Arc Work Systems and will feature 2D two on two tag team gameplay with many interesting characters such as Jin Kisarigi, Rachael Alucard, Hazama and others.
As excited as many are for this upcoming BlazeBlue title many are wondering which version of the game will end up selling more between the PS4 and the Nintendo Switch: While the PS4 version of the game may have better graphics BlazeBlue Cross Tag Battle is less likely to be overshadowed by RPG and first or third person shooter titles. Also, the fact that Marvel can Capcom Infinite was released for the PS4 a few weeks ago on the PS4 could most likely affect how much BlazeBlue Cross Tag Battle would do on the PS4 in terms of sales.
It has been recently announced that Horizon Zero Dawn will have a new add on which is expected to be released on November 7th which is ironically the same day the Xbox One X will appear in electronic retail stores worldwide. Ever since Horizon Zero Dawn was released for the back in the Spring of 2017 the game has managed to sell over 3 million units worldwide for the PlayStation 4.
Not only is Horizon Zero Dawn one of the most popular titles that Guerrilla Games made for 2017 but the expansion pack looks promising as well. The month of November is going to be an interesting time period for the gaming world. While the Horizon Zero Dawn Frozen Wilds add on is expected to be released on November 7th there is always a chance that it could easily be overshadowed by the Xbox One X.
It’s been a very long time since Shenmue II was released for game consoles such as Dreamcast and Xbox. Since the early 00’s fans of the series have been waiting for a sequel to Shenmue II. However, the sales for Shenmue II for both Dreamcast and the original Xbox console was not too good which is probably why Sega decided not to make a sequel. Despite, what the sales were for Shenmue II there were still many die hard fans of the series who wanted to see another game one way or another.
As of right now Shenmue III is set to be released for the PS4 and Microsoft Windows. But the question that is one everyone’s mind is whether or not Shenmue should be released for consoles such as the Xbox One or the Nintendo Switch. If Shenmue III is released on multiple game consoles it would increase the likelihood of the title itself being more successful in terms of sales. However, the idea of Shenmue III being only for the PS4 and Microsoft Windows could possibly add more value to the game itself.
Since Mass Effect Andromeda was released back in March 2017 the game has been both praised and criticized for various different reasons. While people loved the visuals and combat Mass Effect Andromeda had to offer the game had seemingly paled in comparison to Mass Effect 1-3. Also, the lack of single-player expansion packs is something that many people have a hard time understanding.
While some aspects Mass Effect Andromeda was well received others have seemingly made fans of the series lose interest all together. It was recently reported that EA Boss Patrick Soderlund has mentioned that the series will be taking a hiatus for the time being. While Mass Effect Andromeda has received accolades from the Golden Joystick & Global Game Awards for being the most wanted game in 2016 some might argue that it was a little bit overhyped. If this is indeed the last Mass Effect game that we will see in a while then it could potentially make Mass Effect Andromeda a more attractive title to have years from now.
There are so many people who are excited to sell the upcoming release for Madden 18 for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. However, there are many who wonder whether or not Madden 18 should be ported for the Nintendo Switch. Similar to FIFA 18 Madden 18 will be utilizing the Frostbite Engine for both the PS4 and the Xbox One versions of the game.
Maybe Electronic Arts could do something similar to Madden 18 similar to what was done for FIFA 18 for the Nintendo Switch. The idea of having a home dock of Madden 18 at 1080p while the handheld version stays at 720p would definitely be something that people would go for since everyone loves football. Besides, when it comes down to sports titles for the Nintendo Switch it would be great to see some big titles on the console as well.
It has been recently reported that the Nintendo 3DS version of Dragon Quest has been outselling the PS4 version. There are numerous factors might contribute to why the 3DS version of Dragon Quest XI is having more success than the PS4 port. One of the reasons could be that more people have a Nintendo 3DS opposed to a PS4 since its less expensive.
Another reason could be that most people generally like to buy shooter titles for the PS4 mainly because they have great online multiplayer modes. While RPG games are also popular on the PS4 games as Dragon Quest XI are not quite as popular in America like they are in Japan. Even though, the quality for the PS4 port of Dragon Quest XI might be superior the Nintendo 3DS seems to be doing surprisingly well in terms of sales.
