Was Killer Instinct Gold overlooked on the N64?

When we think about head to head fighting games from the 90’s we think about Tekken, Soul Calibur, Street Fighter Alpha series and others.  However, a majority of these fighting games were released on the PS1 or the Sega Dreamcast back in the 90’s.  For the N64 we did not get to many memorable head to head fighting titles maybe with the exception of Mortal Kombat 4 and Killer Instinct Gold.

As cool as Killer Instinct Gold was for the Nintendo 64 the game could have gained more recognition and sold more worldwide if it started off in arcade centers first.  However, the popularity slowly started to decline following the early 90’s due to the fighting genre becoming more competitive at the time in terms of gaming.  Even though, the game had 3D backgrounds and stages it still had 2D gameplay.  If Rare had decided to make a fully 3D Killer Instinct game for the N64 it would have been interesting to see how well it would have done in terms of sales.

Will the new updates for the Nintendo Switch help with sales?

It has been recently reported that the latest version of the Nintendo Switch has received some new updates that would make the gaming experience for players more convenient and enjoyable.  The Nintendo Switch version 4.00 will allow players to transfer saved game data along with the video capturing for games such as Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Arms, Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart Deluxe 8.

In terms of whether or not these new features will help the hybrid console in terms sales is not much of a question; especially considering the fact that the Nintendo Switch has managed to selling 2.5 million units worldwide within a few months following it release.  If we get the data transfer and the video capture feature on the Nintendo Switch for the same price of approximately $300 as the original version then that would be considered good news.  If the Nintendo  Switch 4.00 is more expensive for whatever reason that definitely be questioned by people who still want to buy the hybrid console.

Was the Gran Turismo Sport bundle for the PS4 a good idea?

As many of us know Gran Turismo Sport will be available in gaming and electronic stores in many countries on October 19th.  While many long time fans of the Gran Turismo series are excited for the long awaited release of GT Sport there are some who questioned the decision that Sony Interactive Entertainment Taiwan had made in terms of releasing the bundle for an outrageous price.

The GT Sport bundle had included a PS4, PSVR headset along with an actual 2018 Mazda MX-5 along with other accessories which was priced at $46,000.  Even though, the Gran Turismo Sport bundle was out  for a limited time along having only one available the price seemed ridiculous unless one was actually looking for a brand new 2018 car for a decent price.

Would the Crash Bandicoot N’ Sane trilogy be a success on the Nintendo Switch?

Without a doubt the Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy are considered to be good set games from the series that turned out to be a huge success for the PS4 following its release June 2017.  Since its release this past summer the Crash Bandicoot N’Sane Trilogy has managed to sell over 2.5 million units worldwide on the PS4.

While the Crash Bandicoot series has generally contained impressive platform titles on PlayStation based consoles some wonder whether or not the Crash Bandicoot N’Sane series could work on the Nintendo Switch.  Nintendo based consoles have always had pretty good platform games in fact the Crash Bandicoot N’Sane trilogy could have make big impact as far as the Nintendo Switch is concerned.  It’s been years since many fans of the series have questioned whether or not there will be a Crash Bandicoot game on a home based Nintendo console.  The Crash Bandicoot N’Sane Trilogy would definitely be a success on the Nintendo Switch especially considering the popularity of both the console and the game itself.

Should the Final Fantasy  VII Remake be released for Xbox One X?

As many people Final Fantasy VII are is set to be released for the PS4 sometime in the near future.  While Final Fantasy VII Remake looks like its going to be a PS4 exclusive there are many who are anxious to see this game on other consoles such as the Xbox One X.  The Xbox One X is set to be released next month on November 7th and as of right there are not too many exclusive titles on that particular game console.  In fact many people are likely to have more Xbox One games or downloadable titles from Xbox Live for the Xbox One X.

While it would be exciting to see the Final Fantasy VII Remake One the Xbox One X the game will probably have more success in the long run if it remained exclusive for the PS4.  After all, the original Final Fantasy VII game had managed to sell over 9 million units worldwide back in 1997 as a PS1 exclusive.  Making the Final Fantasy VII Remake a PS4 exclusive will only add to the value of the game.

Could Final Fantasy 8 & 9 have worked on the Sega Dreamcast?

It would have been very interesting to see Final Fantasy 8 and 9 on the Sega Dreamcast back in the late 90’s.  During the Final Fantasy series was very popular especially after the momentum that the series had following the success of Final Fantasy 7 on the PS1.  Also, the Sega Dreamcast was probably at its peak in popularity during the late 90’s while having superior gameplay and graphics in comparison to the PS1.

However, Square Enix seemed like they were have ton of success when Final Fantasy 7 soared in popularity in 1997.  At that point switching over from the PS1 to the Sega Dreamcast would not make to much sense.  Also, Square Enix had decided to work more with Sony opposed to Nintendo way before the Sega Dreamcast was released in 1998.  Even if Final Fantasy 8 & 9 was released for the Sega Dreamcast it would be hard to predict how well the game would do in terms of sales.

Should there a Rock Band game for the Nintendo Switch?

When it comes down to the musical genre of gaming Rock Band is one of the most popular video game industry next to the likes of Guitar Hero and Just Dance. While many people have been waiting for a new Guitar Hero game for quite some time there have been just as many people who want to see a Rock Band 5.  In terms of popularity the Rock Band series has arguably declined in popularity.

When Rock Band 4 was released back in October 2015 the game failed to sell over one million units worldwide on the Xbox One and the PS4 separately.  If we were to get a Rock Band 5 on the Nintendo Switch the key issues would be on whether or not the developers can make it work and whether or not there are any special features that would separate this game from Rock Band 4.  As of right now it’s probably to soon for a Rock Band 5 since it has been about two years the release of Rock Band 4.  But if there is a Rock Band 5 for the Switch console in the future it would be interesting to see how things would play out on the hybrid console.
