The Contra series is considered a classic in the world of gaming and its impressive to see how far the series has come since it first started on the Nintendo Entertainment System back in the 80’s. The latest Contra game entitled Hard Corps Uprising was released back in early 2011 and since then not much has been said about it. Back in the 80’s and early 90’s the Contra series felt like it was at its peak in terms of popularity. The older games in the Contra series were so much fun to play on both the Super Nintendo and the Sega Genesis. When it comes down to run and gun titles Contra Hard Corps and Contra Alien Wars were among one of the best games within its genre during the early 90’s.
Some of the coolest things about Hard Corps: Uprising along with its high quality visuals and fast paced gameplay includes the fact that the plot for this game takes place about two decades before the events of the original Contra game which was released for the NES back in 1988. The idea of the Contra series making a return to the Nintendo Switch is something that many people would probably interested in. Ever since, the Contra series has moved to PlayStation and Xbox consoles the series has not been as popular. Many people would argue that the series would probably would have stood out more if it was released on Nintendo based consoles instead.
