We all love the arcade classics that were released in the 80’s and 90’s. Arcade centers were one of the many places that kids and adults could go to truly have fun. But since the rise of online gaming in the 00’s arcade centers have seemingly declined in popularity. Many of the old school arcade titles such as Sega Outrun, TMNT: Turtles in Time, Streets of Rage, Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat I-III can all be purchased or played through gaming networks such as the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live.
Not only can people play arcade games by downloading them on gaming networks but it also makes people wonder if arcade systems are outdated. Some might argue that it’s good to an arcade machine have in a public setting such as a restaurant if there is nothing else to do. Others would say that old school titles from the 80’s and 90’s are no longer desirable in this day and age. However, true retro gamers appreciate the fact that arcade centers are still relavent today and world choose the classics over modern day gaming any day of the week.
